Disconnection: Allows for safe isolation of any single string for maintenance or troubleshooting without shutting down the entire array.

Surge Protection: Typically includes or allows installation of a Surge Protective Device (SPD) to safeguard equipment from lightning-induced voltage spikes.

Monitoring (Optional): Higher-end models may include terminals for string-level monitoring via current sensors or data loggers.
